Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the last film in the Star Wars movie saga due out next year, has been planned for reshooting. Memoirs of a Geisha cast announced

Casting has been announced for Memoirs of a Geisha, which will be produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Rob Marshall. Chinese star Zhang Ziyi will play the main character, the geisha Sayuri, while Gong Li will star as her rival Hatsumomo. Michelle Yeoh will portray Zhang's mentor Mameha, and last but not least, Oscar-nominated Ken Watanabe from The Last Samurai will play a high-powered executive. Read more...

Spidey spins his web for the Oscars
There's still a long time 'til the Oscars, but Columbia is already working hard to make Oscar judges pay attention to their summer mega-blockbuster sequel Spider-Man 2 (review). Columbia has sent free tickets for the movie to the judges with a note saying "we encourage you to visit a theater and appreciate the movie as the filmmakers intended it to be seen -- on the big screen.".
